Tématem bakalářské práce je kvalita života seniorů žijících na venkově. Teoretická část práce se nejprve zabývá obecně pojmy stárnutí, stáří, kvalita života, lidské potřeby, autonomie seniorů aj. a mnoho dalších. V následující části se věnuje významu vnějšího prostředí pro kvalitu života ve stáří a rozdílům mezi životem ve městě a na venkově. V neposlední řadě seznamuje čtenáře s aktuálně dostupnými možnostmi podpory a pomoci seniorům a popisuje druhy sociálních služeb a sociální práci ve venkovském prostředí. Těžiště empirické části práce tvoří kvantitativní průzkumné šetření zjišťující, jaké jsou sociální a kulturní podmínky života seniorů na vesnici a jakou podobu zde mají mezigenerační vztahy. The topic of the bachelor thesis is the quality of life of seniors living in the countryside. The theoretical part of the work first deals with the general concepts of aging, age, quality of life, human needs, autonomy of the seniors, etc. And many others. The following part focuses on the importance of the external environment for the quality of life in old age and the differences between life in a city and in the countryside. Last but not least, the currently available possibilities to support and help seniors are introduced and the types of social services and social work in the rural environment are described. The focus of the empirical part of the thesis consists of a quantitative exploratory investigation to ascertain what the social and cultural conditions of life of the elderly in the countryside are and what form inter-generational relationships have. The analysis and final data interpretation of the questionnaire survey provides background material for the suggestions how to improve the lives of older people in the countryside.
