Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o problematice transgenderu z pohledu sociálního pracovníka a sociální práce, jakožto pomáhající profese. Klade si za cíl přinést sociálním pracovníkům teoretické zázemí pro práci s transgender klientelou, zaměřuje se na obecné informace dělení transgender jedinců a jejich specifika. Převážná část je věnována kategorii transsexuality, jakožto nejvíce rozšířenou kategorií transgender jedinců vůbec. Přináší soudobé trendy v oblasti transgenderu ze zahraničních výzkumů, publikovaných v odborných periodikách sociální práce. Na základě odborné rešerše cizojazyčných zdrojů je snahou uvést do této problematiky sociální pracovníky v českém prostředí v tématech transgenderu. Je rozdělena na několik kapitol, ze kterých vyplývá úsilí o aplikaci teoretických poznatků do běžné praxe sociálních pracovníků v České republice. Část práce je věnována současnému uplatnění sociální práce v problematice transgenderu, která čerpá výhradně jen z novodobých světových výzkumů, publikovaných na toto téma. This bachelor thesis deals with the transgender issue from a social worker perspective, as an assistant profession. The goal of the thesis is to provide a theoretical background for social workers, who work with transgender clients. It focuses on basic information related to classifying transgender individuals and its specifics. Most of my thesis covers the transsexuals, as the most widespread group within transgender category. The thesis shows contemporary trends in field of transgender thanks to the foreign researches, published in research papers dealing with social work. The thesis is divided into a few parts, which try to use the theoretical knowledge for practical work of social workers in the Czech Republic. One part of the thesis is based on contemporary research and it deals with the use of social work in question of transgender.
