Bakalářská práce se zabývá postavením seniorů ve společnosti, v rodině a specifickým významem seniorů pro nejmladší generaci - generaci vnoučat. V první části se práce nejprve zaměřuje na změny, které nejvíce ovlivňují stárnoucí generaci a její život. Jedná se především o změny ve fyzické oblasti, změny v psychice, potřebách i sociální oblasti. V práci je zdůrazněn vývojový úkol stáří, který má rozhodující vliv na kvalitu života a spokojenost ve stáří, ale také na význam seniora pro okolí. V hlavní částí se práce zabývá postavením seniorů ve společnosti z hlediska pohledu médií a politické scény, plynule pak přechází k výzkumu postoje české veřejnosti k významu seniorů ve společnosti a rodině. Kapitolu život seniorů v rodině uvádí práce nahlédnutím na život seniorů v rodině během historie. Zabývá se tím, jak se v poslední době proměnila role jednotlivých členů rodiny, jakým způsobem se proměnilo mezigenerační soužití, a jaká jsou úskalí mezigenerační komunikace v současnosti. Všechny tyto pohledy pomáhají porozumět významu a postavení seniorů v rodině v současné době. Na závěr se práce věnuje specifickému vztahu seniorů a vnoučat. Kromě základní pomoci při péči o vnoučata, jsou prarodiče také určitou pojistku pro krizové situace, ale mají také nezastupitelnou roli v předávaní kontinuity života, vytváření... This thesis deals with the status of the elderly in the society and family and with the specific value of seniors for the youngest generation, the generation of grandchildren. The focus of the first part of the thesis lays on the main changes that affect the aging generation and its. These are primarily physical changes, mental changes, changes of needs, and changes in social area. The thesis emphasizes the developmental role of old age that has a decisive influence on quality and satisfaction of life in old age but also on the importance of seniors for their neighborhood. In the main part, the thesis deals with the status of seniors in society, both in terms of media presentation and political scene. It continues with a research on the attitudes of the Czech public towards the importance of seniors in the society and family. The chapter on the life of seniors in family starts with a look at the elderly life within families throughout history. It shows how the roles of individual family members have changed recently, how the cohabitation of generations has changed, and what the pitfalls of contemporary generational communication are.
