Práce "Sir Nicholas Winton a jeho odkaz budoucím generacím" si klade za cíl potvrdit tezi, že čin sira Wintona mnozí považují za inspirativní a motivující k pomoci druhým. Tuto tezi se snaží dokázat představením výpovědí, zaznamenaných v literatuře, rozhovorech, filmovém dokumentu i v internetových článcích. Rovněž je cílem této práce ukázat, jakými způsoby lidé, kteří se cítí Wintonovým příběhem motivováni, svou pomoc ostatním vykonávají, nebo chtějí vykonávat. Práce se nejprve zaměřuje na popis dobového pozadí činu Nicholase Wintona, přiblíží samotného Wintona a popíše jeho záchranné akce. Dále jsou představeny některé zachráněné děti a jejich výpovědi o jejich vlastním pomáhání druhým. Práce také představí příbuzné zachráněných a jejich snahy pomáhat, a v neposlední řadě jsou v práci zaznamenány výpovědi veřejnosti, která byla Wintonovým příběhem ovlivněna. This thesis entitled "Sir Nicholas Winton and his legacy for future generations" aims to prove that the act of Sir Winton is considered to be motivating and inspirational in the field of helping others. The thesis tries to prove this by introducing statements which are recorded in literature, interviews, a documentary film and internet articles. The next aim of this thesis is to show how persons influenced by the Winton story help others, or how they would like to help. The first part of this thesis is focused on a description of the historical background of Winton's act, further, on Nicholas Winton himself, and on the description of the rescue operation itself. Subsequently, some saved children, and statements from them about their helping others are introduced. Then, the thesis introduces kin of saved children and their efforts to help.
