Práce je shrnutím společenského a náboženského postavení ženy v dobách Starého a Nového zákona. Jde o popis zvyklostí každodenního života, tradic, předpisů a návyků žen, které žily v této době. Starozákonní pohled na ženu porovnávám s ženou v době pozdější. Hledám srovnání revolučních myšlenek a života Ježíše Krista s jedním jeho následovníků - Pavla z Tarsu. Práci jsem rozdělila do jednotlivých kapitol a částí. Čerpala jsem z množství náboženské literatury, mnoha komentářů a pasáží, které uvádím. Využila jsem i internetové zdroje. S doladěním a celkovou úpravou mi pomohl můj vedoucí práce. Při hledání nápadů a témat jsem zjistila, že bylo napsáno množství prací k dané problematice. The thesis is a survey of the social and religious status of the woman in the times written about in the Old and New Testaments. It is a description of everyday life customs, traditions, regulations and habits of women in that time. I compare the Old Testament perception of the woman and how it changed in the years later. I am trying to describe revolutionary ideas and life of Jesus Christ in comparison to one of his follower Paul of Tars. The theses is divided into separate chapters and parts. I have drawn on many commentaries and passages which I have made use of for the presentation. I have also exploited some resources on the Internet. My thesis supervisor helped me to adjust and tune it all up. While looking for ideas and topics, I have found out that there has been a lot written on the given theme.
